BACTERIOLOGICAL AGAR HS (HIGH STRENGTH) 

Description 


 
 
  1. Agar is a natural hydrocolloid extracted from several species of red algae, mainly the Gelidium, Gracilaria and Pterocladia types. 
  2. High Strength Bacteriological Agar is a gelling agent specially designed for the preparation of culture media and other bacteriological applications, in which it is necessary to reduce the agar content maintaining the desired gelling properties. 
  3. The main advantage of this agar is the high gel strength (typical 1,000 g/cm2 )
  4.  As other Conda’s Bacteriological Agar types, it has absence of inhibitors, excellent transparency, high hysteresis and reliable reproducibility.
  5.  It can be used for preparing media such as Thioglycollate fluid Media
